WEEK 18

Don't you just love those big days?  When you roll out as people are getting in from a big Friday night, and finish just in time for an afternoon snack.

Finished off my last 'big day' of the prep, that's not to say I won't have more big sessions, but I'll start to put some space between them now.

Ensuring the quality is spot on coming into the final stretch.  A session of 160 - 30 brick.  The run didn't quite go to plan, but sometimes these things happen (data below).  Was nice to do a bunch of Arthurs Seat laps, such a great way to sting the legs, rather than the typical Port 2 Point ride (for those Victorians).

When I sat down and planned the 'bones' of the prep, I was unsure whether I'd overcooked the volume and intensity, but had faith in a system that was proven.  In the end, I wanted to take some calculated risks to give myself the best opportunity to be as ready as I can be.  Below is a forecast and actual dashboard of the build to date.  You look at it for 3 or 4 seconds and go 'yep that's about right'.  21,240 TT points later, it hasn't been easy!
