WEEK 1

Welcome BACK! OR welcome to the blog!  These are the ramblings of a father, husband, coach, and age group triathlete.

Each week I'll be giving you the best insight I can give you towards the 2017 IRONMAN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP.

I raced Kona in 2014, that feels like a lifetime ago.

Everything in this blog is from an athletes perspective, not as a coach.

These early weeks can be a trap for many people.  There's 20 weeks to go after-all, but it's the first 4 weeks that set up the next 16.  Time waits for no one, after a solid 6 months 'off' since qualifying,  I'm ready to go, mind and body.

This isn't a blog about "this week I swum 12kms, rode 500kms, ran 80kms..." that's mind numbing boring and I wouldn't read or watch it.  This is a blog with a bit of a twist.

Enjoy.
