WEEK 11

Legs 11... fitting, cause my legs are slaughtered.  Not injured, just wrecked.

Never have I gone this far into an Ironman preparation without having a dry needle put somewhere in my body.  That's a real testament to the weekly treatment I'm getting from Toby Glennon at SportsMyo.  Before you think this is a shameless plug, it's convinced me, that weekly maintenance is far better than monthly "help me". Then you need to see someone 5 times in 2 weeks to get sorted out.  It's a false economy for mind, so the financial argument I used to have with myself is just flawed.  Never again.

I'll be having a very light week this week, before cranking up into another stratosphere for block 3 (the premiership quarter), everything will be going up, including the temperature.

If the body can handle it, I'm big on solid brick sessions.  It trains the mind and that's the most powerful weapon on race day.  It's not for everyone, but I like it, and this time around (unlike Taiwan) the body can handle it.  I finished off another 20 hour week with a 200-30 brick.  I'm floating tonight, booked for an hour, but that could extend longer....

The next 3-4 weeks will be very different, stay tuned.  Blog videos to return.
