BRISBANE MARATHON

Picture

When the race only takes 2:45 it should make for a short and sweet race report. (the arrogance...)

Why has this been the hardest blog to write?  I'm just lost for words.

The course was challenging, particularly the first half (profile below).  Stunning nonetheless carving it's way through many of Brisbane's landmarks.  Not that I took any notice of the scenery.

Hanging out there in the breeze is the goal to break 2:40 in a Marathon, that will come in time and the right occasion.  This was not the course for that, have you noticed?  I'm persistent.

I was here to race a Marathon, not the clock.  Try and place myself on the dais one last time for the season.  In a Metro Marathon (AIMS).... it's was a long shot.

This is one of those results I will be telling my grandkids... I finished 3rd in the Brisbane Marathon you know.... back in 2019.

Shutting down the racing for a few months now. Gonna be a dad for the second time.

Thanks everyone for the season support.  To single anyone out would just be unfair.  Expect if I didn't mention my one and only Alishia... that would mean death.

Keep in touch and listen / subscribe to the Koa Sports Podcast.

Next year, in 2020.... we go BIG.
