2015 Pre season

Picture
2015 Pre Season Update

Greeting and salutations.

It’s been 14 weeks since I crossed that finish line on Ali’I drive and still not a day goes by I don’t think about it.  I don’t’ live in the past, it’s just a memory I hope never fades.

Today I ran 6km without pain, patience is a virtue.

I have a new wardrobe as not one pair pants fit over my thighs due to the most intense gym program developed by my strength and conditioning coach Colin Goodwin.  I am 10 weeks into 16 weeks.  2 days after any glute session I take an Imodium to prevent having to sit on a toilet.

I’m focused on making the changes I need to make in order to take that next step in Triathlon.  Kona was the profound slap I needed, I have a feeling she’ll slap me a few times more.

Whilst it was disappointing to withdraw from the UltraMan, it would have been the worst thing for my recovery and long term ambitions.

I've set my goals for 2015 and can’t wait to get them done, they are:

·         A sub 2:50 Marathon

·         2016 Kona Qualification

·         A Top 10 Overall Finish

Anytime Fitness Hope Island and International Protein continue to support my endeavors and for that I am truly grateful.  I know many of you are now using the IP range with great results.

2015 is a fork in the road.  Here we go!
